Discussion Group

The purpose of the Third Sector Studies in Central-Eastern Europe listgroup is to provide a forum for people who are interested in the development of the Nonprofit Sector in Central-Eastern Europe, and particularly in the development of University-College level Third Sector Studies in the region.

The discussion group includes teachers, researchers and other contacts who contributed to the University/College level Third Sector Studies in Central Eastern Europe survey mapping nonprofit teaching in the region and those who already showed interest in joining a group interested in the development of the Third Sector in CEE. Altogether it connects approx. 100 addresses.

I would like to invite you to explore the viability of this electronic discussion group and to share and exchange information concerning any related issues. In the forthcoming months we plan to raise issues concerning Third Sector Studies and to provide other relevant information. We intend to develop the list to become a more comprehensive forum for people interested in the development of the Third Sector in Central Eastern Europe.

The discussion group was created as a part of the Third Sector Institute project - chairman Robert Payton from the Indiana Center on Philanthropy, Indianapolis, USA - and its further maintenance is supported by the generous gift  from the Rockefeller Brothers Fund.
